TOBIAS CZERNY
Tobias Czerny Started Racing with the Gran Turismo Series long time ago, got his first Wheel couple of days before the 18th birthday. Then he made the way to one of Germanys bests GT Drivers until mid-2013, winning several PlayStation LIGA titles with GT5. He switched to more serious PC Sim Racing in April of 2012, fell in love with the V8s in S3 2012 and never looked back to any other series.
After driving for the Lenovo Iracing Team in 3 seasons, he joined Powerbond Racing Team at the end of S3 2013. Somehow he managed it to be in Top Split since the start, getting faster over the time and recently got his and Powerbond first main race podium at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal in S1 2014. This series being of course Australian dominated, he is one of the few regular internationals that mix up the grid on Monday Night whenever he can.
Since S1 2013 he competes in the ARL V8 Supercar series, where he gained a lot of experience and finished on the podium over 50 times. So no wonder he also won the Title in ARL Season 4, 6 and 7, while finishing 2nd in Season 5. At the moment he represents the Powerbond Team in the current season, looking for another strong championship win becoming a four times champ. Additionally he tries to challenge his teammate Marlon McMullen in the V8 America series, whenever he can. Although this means, getting up for a race in the middle of the night.
Due to fact that he is living far, far away from most other V8 Supercar Drivers, he developed a clean, controlled driving style when it comes to close battles against other drivers. A big plus is also his ability to do many fast, consistent laps, while his mind is working on race/fuel strategies. Weakness are the first corners on lap 1, where everybody is fighting for some quick positions and cars are bunched up.
As the team has found some extra speed this season, he is looking forward to start within the Top10 of Monday Night every race and finish further ahead for sure. His mint colour represents his university FH Aachen, where he is studying the Masters course of Automotive Engineering.
